Sand Springs Lawn Care That Starts With a Free Evaluation

Two lawns can look equally brown or thin for completely different reasons. One may not be getting enough water. Another may be receiving plenty of water but distributing it unevenly. Shade, turf type, mowing height, compaction, drainage and past treatments can all change what the lawn needs next.

Nutri-Green’s lawn care plans combine recurring fertilization and weed control throughout the year. Our first visit starts with a free 21-point lawn evaluation and includes:

  • A free soil pH test
  • Identification of your grass and common weed
  • A review of thin, discolored or struggling areas
  • A recommendation based on the condition of your lawn
  • An explanation of what to expect from treatment

Nutri-Green offers three lawn care plans in Sand Springs, allowing you to choose the one that fits your lawn's needs and your budget. Our popular seven-treatment program includes two spring pre-emergent applications, four warm-season visits combining fertilization and weed control, and one fall application aimed at cool-season weeds.

All three plans cover those core services, while the number of visits and additional benefits vary by plan.

After every visit, you receive notes explaining what was applied, what the technician observed and any steps you should take before the next service.

Weed Control For Sand Springs Lawns

Weeds are often the first visible sign that a lawn needs help. Henbit and dandelions can appear while the grass is still coming out of dormancy. As temperatures rise, crabgrass moves into thin areas. Coarse dallisgrass clumps are often mistaken for crabgrass, while nutsedge commonly appears in lower, wetter parts of the lawn.

Killing the weeds already visible is only one part of control. A complete program also has to reduce the next round before it germinates and improve the turf so weeds have less open space to occupy.

Nutri-Green’s weed-control program includes:

  • Pre-emergent applications ahead of common seasonal germination windows
  • Post-emergent treatment for weeds already growing
  • Product selection based on weed and grass type
  • Applications made at label rates, with care around landscape beds
  • Recurring visits to address changing weed pressure
  • Service notes explaining what was treated

Aeration And Overseeding

Compacted soil makes it harder for air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. Aeration and overseeding can help, but the right service depends on the grass growing in the lawn.

Core aeration removes small plugs of soil, creating openings in compacted areas. This can improve movement into the root zone and give the turf room to develop stronger roots.

For fescue lawns, overseeding is commonly performed in the fall after summer heat has thinned the stand. Placing seed during aeration improves soil contact and gives it a better opportunity to establish than seed left on the lawn's surface.

Warm-season grasses such as Bermuda and Zoysia are handled differently. They are normally aerated while actively growing and may not need overseeding at all.

We also coordinate seeding with weed prevention. Many pre-emergent products can interfere with new grass establishment, so the treatment schedule must account for where and when seed will be applied.

Not every lawn needs the same combination of services. The evaluation determines whether aeration, overseeding or another correction makes sense.

Make Each Watering Count With HydraGreen

Some dry spots persist even when a lawn is watered regularly. Water may run off before soaking in, move through the soil too quickly or fail to reach the root zone evenly. Compaction, thatch and poor sprinkler coverage can create similar symptoms.

HydraGreen is a seasonal moisture-management treatment that uses professional-grade wetting agents to improve how water moves through the soil and remains available around the roots. It can be added to an existing lawn program to help with recurring dry spots, uneven summer color and heat stress.

HydraGreen helps the lawn get more from available moisture. It does not replace regular watering or correct sprinkler coverage problems. If the irrigation system is causing the issue, we will tell you.

Lawn Disease Control in Sand Springs

Brown circles, bleached patches and thinning turf can be caused by lawn disease—but disease is not the only possibility. Drought stress, uneven irrigation, insects, pet damage and chemical injury can look similar from a distance.

Correct identification matters because the wrong treatment wastes time while the damaged area continues to spread.

Brown patchdollar spot, and fairy ring are among the diseases that can affect Sand Springs lawns. Brown patch commonly affects fescue during warm, humid conditions. Dollar spot can create small, discolored areas that join together over time, while fairy ring may appear as an arc or circle and change how water moves into the affected soil.

Lawn disease treatment is separate from the regular lawn program. When disease is present, our technicians identify the likely problem, recommend an appropriate treatment, and point out lawn care practices that may be contributing to it.

Every service is backed by Nutri-Green’s We Care More Guarantee. If you are unhappy with a treatment, contact us and we will return for a free service visit between scheduled applications.

Tree and Shrub Care in Sand Springs

Early leaf drop, thinning foliage, discolored leaves and scorched edges can point to insects, disease, watering problems or a lack of nutrients. We inspect your trees and shrubs before recommending treatment so the work addresses what the plants are actually showing.

Nutri-Green provides seasonal tree and shrub care in Sand Springs, including insect and disease treatments, dormant oil applications and deep-root fertilization when appropriate. Our program does not include pruning, tree removal or landscape maintenance.

Exterior Pest Control Around Your Home

Most pest problems inside a home start outside. Nutri-Green’s perimeter pest control plan focuses on the foundation and common entry points, including doors, windows and utility openings, to help keep pests from moving indoors.

Service begins with an inspection to identify active pests, hiding places and conditions that may be attracting them. Treatments are applied every 30 to 45 days from April through October and target ants, spiders, crickets, earwigs, pill bugs, wasps, yellow jackets and other common exterior pests.

This is an exterior service and does not include routine indoor treatments.

Seasonal Mosquito Control in Sand Springs

Mosquitoes do not need a pond to reproduce. Water held in a clogged gutter, planter, toy, low spot or fold of a tarp can be enough. Adult mosquitoes commonly rest in shaded vegetation during the day, which is why treating only open turf does little to solve the problem.

Our seasonal mosquito control begins with an inspection for resting and breeding areas. Treatment targets adult mosquitoes and developing larvae, followed by recurring monthly visits during the active season.

Rain can create new breeding sites quickly. Consistent treatment from spring through fall helps keep mosquito activity from rebuilding between visits.

Flea And Tick Control in Sand Springs

Fleas and ticks are more likely to remain in shaded beds, taller grass, brush lines, yard edges and other protected areas than in the middle of a sunny lawn.

Our flea and tick control includes an inspection at each visit, targeted treatment of likely harborage and recurring applications every 30 to 45 days from April through October.

Your technician will also point out yard conditions that may be contributing to the problem. Exterior treatment supports the protection recommended by your veterinarian for pets; one does not replace the other.

Holiday Lighting Installation

Professional holiday lighting in Sand Springs is available through Hook & Ladder Holiday Décor, a Nutri-Green subsidiary. The team handles the design, installation, takedown, and storage, so the entire display is taken care of for you.

Installations begin in November. Request an estimate early if you have a preferred installation date.
